Dorian Bio

From the age of 6 dorian has been practicing the ancient technique of yoga. From an early age he accepted the teachings of Paramahansa Yoganda and became a disciplined disciple. Although the bulk of his practice was rooted in deep meditation and Kriya Yoga he later discovered the art of a more extensive Hatha practice to form a marriage between the two. "you must master the body first and then the mind will come next." These are the words Dorian lives by in his practice.

  "When I was sixteen and visited India for a month I fell in love with a culture that was so rich in wisdom and spirituality. " "Meeting holly men and great yogis it inspired me to work on bringing this consciousness to the west."  In an effort to do this he began practicing Hatha yoga in Santa Monica, California under the teachings of Brian Kest .Dorian received his teaching certificate in Power Yoga from his Hatha Guru Brian Kest.

Dorian Wright has been practicing yoga for over 30 years. He is well versed in the many different aspects of yoga from the variety of different poses to the deeper practice of meditation. He has taught in some of California’s most pristine gyms to some of the smaller more intimate studios. He’s worked with a wide variety of students from the perfectly healthy, chronically sick, pregnant, professional athlete, and many more. Trained under world-renowned power yoga teacher Brian Kest, Dorian has a well-rounded understanding of teaching yoga. His strengths are not only in teaching classes with thirty plus people, but also in training people privately.

Power Yoga Description

Power Yoga is a more intensive yoga class where it focuses on creating longer leaner muscles while disciplining not only the body, but the mind as well. Building the core strength to help support the spine as well as learning how to breathe through challenging moments. It helps the student to become less reactive inside and out of the yoga class.
